Have you heard of the Oregon Political Tax Credit? This can be essentially free money that you can give to BikePAC!
What!? “free money!?” How does that work? In Oregon, an individual can give any amount they want to a PAC, and with the Political Action Tax Credit, you can take $50.00 of that donation as a dollar for dollar reduction or credit against your STATE OF OREGON income taxes (married filing jointly can take a credit of $100.00 – and certain new limitations apply so check with an accountant). So, you can give now but get that $50 or $100 back later in reduced taxes you pay to the state.
